Colours within the specie vary from pale pinkish brown to a dark reddish brown close to mahogany. Quite light in weight, however this by no means takes anything away from the strength of the timber.

Meranti is well suited to a variety of applications both internally and externally. Meranti is commonly used for decking, cladding, garden furniture boat building and most general construction work. Machines reasonably well and takes glue, nails and stains well. Also takes paint very nicely. Amounts listed are per metre and will be cut in 1 metre lengths, please message us if you require longer/shorter individual lengths, also for bespoke widths and thicknesses please message us for a separate quote.
