High Grade Purpleheart timber, Cut and Planed to Size. Purpleheart is an extremely unique timber, when freshly cut it is a dull purplish brown changing to a deep purple colour upon exposure, usually a few weeks, over time and with exposure to UV rays it dulls back to its original purplish brown colour. There are products avaiable to delay. Commonly used for high end furniture making and where designs call for an addition of a vibrant colour. Commonly used also for turning, flooring, boat building and heavy construction.
Although nowadays more commonly used for its appearance, Purpleheart has great strength properties making it ideal for heavy construction work. Amounts listed are per metre and will be cut in individual 1metre lengths.
